Our expert panel will cover how insurance brokers can assist their clients with managing risks through surveys at the property, presenting to underwriters, how the risk is reviewed in underwriting and managing underinsurance during the claims process.

Cillian graduated with a degree in Business Risk & Insurance in 2013 and commenced work with a niche loss adjusting firm in Ireland working in domestic, farm & commercial claims. Cillian moved to Australia in 2016 and continued to work as a loss adjuster joining one of the leading loss adjusting firms dealing with SME, strata and corporate commercial claims. Cillian joined McLarens in May 2019 and specialises in major and complex losses as part of the Melbourne Property Team.

Marty has over 25 years experience in the building and construction industry, commencing his career as a shop fitter/carpenter.

Marty possesses extensive skills, knowledge and experience in the building industry, and his well developed organisational and administrative skills enable him to effectively manage client projects. Marty is a RICS certified expert witness, a Certified Quantity Surveyor (CQS) and sits on the interviewing panel for Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS). Marty is a Fellow member and the NSW president of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS).

Marty has worked on countless landmark developments throughout Australia and has assisted to develop project management course material for the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA). Marty has worked with companies such as St George, Mirvac, ING Funds Management, Mutiplex, Commonwealth Bank and more.

Marty is an ex-first grade rugby union player, and outside of work Marty enjoys spending time with his family.
