This session will benefit all broking principals and staff who actively engage in Workers' Compensation in Western Australia.
Overview
The new WA Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 comes into effect on 1st July 2024 with several key changes impacting employers, workers' and the critical role insurance brokers perform as advisors on the placement and management of workers' compensation claims.
One of the significant changes includes the recognition of Insurance Brokers within the act, having never previously included Insurance Brokers as stakeholders within the legislation.
This has led to Workcover WA developing a set of Principals and Standards under which Insurance Brokers must now comply with.
To assist brokers navigate these significant changes, NIBA will be conducting a vital information session focused on how these changes will impact the role that you perform and the changes that you and your business need to be ready for.
NIBA is pleased to join with experts from our legal, rehabilitation and medico-legal partners to deliver an informative session to ensure you are prepared once the changes apply.
